Probus is a local, national and international association of retired peoplewho meet together on a regular basis. It is a non-political and non-sectarian movement , whose origins in the UK date back to 1965 for professional and business people wanting to retain a form of fellowship on retirement and have a social outlet through which they find new friends and enjoy and expand personal interests
There are approximately 25 Probus Clubs in Gloucestershire. Stratton Probus was founded in 1986 and has around 30 membersfrom Stratton and the surrounding area. It meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month (except August and December) at Cirencester Golf Club from 0945 for coffee followed by a talk. Some meetings are preceded by breakfast or followed by lunch.
Each year we undertake trips to places of interest, some with wive's and partners. The Year's activities conclude with a festive Christmas lunch.
Being a member of Probus is sociable and interesting as the talks cover a vast range of topics, strictly excluding politics! So please use the contact details below and we'll be happy to welcome you as a guest initially.
